With the help of our generous and crafty community, we will raise funds for Art Not Shame’s community-engaged arts programming while at the same time creating much-appreciated warm blankets.

Interested community members (like you!) can sign up to make knitted or crocheted squares that are 8 x 10 inches (yes, technically, it’s not a square, we know). Art Not Shame staff and volunteers will sew them into blankets, which will be donated to the Guelph/Wellington Community Health Van and distributed to community members in need.

By signing up, you’ll create your very own participant profile that you can share with family and friends, to invite them to sponsor your knitting efforts. Don't worry we show you how here. We know asking for money can feel uncomfortable, and we wish we didn’t need it to run programs. But since we do, we’ve prepared some tips and resources to help you along the way. Any amount raised is helpful, and there is no contribution that is “too small” to be useful. 

The Knit-a-thon begins on October 25, 2021, and completed squares must be submitted no later than December 6, 2021. 

Your family and friends can make donations to sponsor you from October 25 to December 6, 2021.
